Breakfast is one of my favorite parts of the day, I call it "my time".
Normally it consists of oatmeal, fruit and tea.
And I never leave the house without it!!

Well, there are always some exceptions, like this time, when me and a friend decided to try having "Breakfast at Fru K restaurant" at The Thief Hotel.

The Thief Hotel is one of the trendy spots right now in Oslo, a waterfront hotel located on the Islet of Tjuvholmen (Thief Islet) in Oslo, designed by the award-winning Mellbye Architects.

The hotel is well known for the displays of modern art that you will encounter along the hotel, even the elevator has art to admire, but also for its excellent food! They use regional ingredients, and depending on the season the menus will change.

So, we gave it a try, and spent a couple of hours enjoying our breakfast while admiring all the art in the room. Definitely a perfect combination to start my day: a friend and a very good breakfast in a beautiful environment.

P.S. "Skipping breakfast can set you up for overeating later in the day. A healthy a.m. meal, can give you energy, satisfy your appetite, and set the stage for smart decisions all day long!" (via
